The SeaMiles® Visa® Rewards, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who enjoy taking cruises and plan to take advantage of the rewards program offered. Through the rewards program, one point is earned for every dollar spent on general purchases and three points are earned for every dollar spent on cruises booked through SeaMiles or one of their designated travel agents. Points are redeemable for travel on any cruise line. There are no point restrictions or blackout dates. Aside from the rewards program, the card offers common signature cardholder benefits such as travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. The card has no annual fee and offers a 0% introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months. Once the introductory rate expires, the interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average. Therefore, those who plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to use their card regularly to purchase cruises (to earn additional points) will benefit most from what the SeaMiles® Visa® Rewards has to offer.
Most Attractive Feature(s): No annual fee; reward program; common signature benefits.
Least Attractive Feature(s): No extraordinary benefits or discounts offered to cardholders aside from the reward program.
